Universal Orlando is one of our personal favorite destinations out of any of the places we support here at Famvia Travel! With 2 amazing parks (+Epic Universe coming in 2025!), UO is amazing. Harry Potter. Jurassic Park. Simpsons. Dreamworks. Bourne. This place has top notch IP rides, shows and more. #butterbeer all day. Seriously Universal Orlando is one of the best run parks around right now and we're super excited about the opening of Epic Universe on May 22, 2025. The hotels are well-themed and VERY reasonable. It's a great value for the money for your guests.

Onboarding

There are actually two separate steps here:

  1. Register yourself for the Universal Partner Community (this is where training happens + where you get your benefits). More on this in the Training & Benefits section.
  2. Request access to VAX (if you already have access to VacationAccess then you're good to go!).

In order to receive access to VAX, an admin must add you to our account manually. If you want to become a Universal agent, please email advisor-success@famvia.com to receive an invite. Once you have access to the VAX Vacation Access portal, you can book both Universal locations (Florida and Hollywood) and a host of other destinations! Btw, remember our agency's phone number is 8173825040 when signing in to VAX.

Commission

Universal has a fixed commission % for all agencies across all Vacation Packages, Room Only and Ticket Only purchases. Note: to book a Room Only reservation, you must call 1-800-232-7827 (you cannot do this via VAX!). Vacation Packages & Ticket Only can be made at 1-800-224-3838 BUT it's much easier to use VAX for this (including annual passes!).

Training & Benefits

While you book vacation packages through VAX, Universal has a separate site set up for training (and getting your discounts!). To access this, create an account at Universal Partner Community by self registering using this link. You will have to enter our CLIA code: 00044490 and you only need to register once in order to get access to both Universal destinations.

Once registered, you can spend a couple hours going through the trainings provided for either Universal destination. Especially with Epic Universe opening May 2025, there are a lot of new items being added!

Universal has special discounts for Travel Advisors when it comes to tickets. Just be sure to request in advance as you cannot request and pick up on same day. You will need a personal CLIA card in order to pick up your tickets. Universal also offers fantastic hotel rates/deals, especially at Dockside and Surfside! One of the best destinations in the world if you want to have fun. You have Universal Studios, full of great shows and motion simulators; and Islands of Adventure, which is considered one of the best theme parks in the world. I’d spend days (weeks) here if I had to write about how amazing this place is.

To find the latest events, go into the Universal Orlando supplier showcase in VAX. Look under "Resources" then click "Training Events". There you will find a new page open up which has Express FAMs at the parks + regional trainings.
