CLIA is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association, providing a unified voice and leading authority of the global cruise community. You can apply for your CLIA Travel Agent Card and complete additional cruise sales training on their site. Their annual state of the cruise industry is a really good tool to see how the industry is growing. They have loads of trainings you can do if you want and their 'find an agent' tool is worth it.

This ensures you are growing as a travel advisor and booking for others not just your own personal trips.
Ready to renew when applications open in January? Ensure you hit $10k in non-personal bookings before renewing and paying the fee! You can apply anytime and we'll approve once we've verified requirements are met!

CLIA offers a variety of training and certifications. Once you complete your initial membership application, there is an annual assessment and you can pick up to 4 free online courses (varies year to year).

Do I have to get this?
Nope! You totally do not have to feel obligated to purchase an Annual Membership. We do not require it, but we do strongly suggest it. You won't be able to take advantage of any Travel Partner benefits if you don't have your own CLIA #.
Does this replace the agency CLIA?
Nope! You will always use our CLIA (00044490) to register with each travel partner. You only need a personal CLIA # if you want to take advantage of travel partner benefits like discounted hotel rooms, discounted cruises and more.
When can I apply?
Once you hit $10,000 each year in NON-PERSONAL bookings... eg any bookings you do for other people, not you. Remember: a non-personal booking is any booking which does not have you as a guest in the hotel room, stateroom or ticket package.
Both our internal team and our partners monitor production. They look at each booking to see who is listed. If a lot of bookings match guest name + travel advisor name, this will get flagged once it reaches a certain level. Obviously both our partners and us want to grow bookings with guests and grow your circles! Definitely cannot become a travel advisor to exclusively get discounts for personal travel. In our policies, we mention a 3:1 ratio... every 3 non-personal bookings you do 1 personal.

Do I have to give Famvia Travel credit?
All media is watermarked already so no need to insert additional credits as you also have a royalty free license as per the Travel Advisor Terms.
