Travel Advisor Policies

Last Updated: January 21, 2026

These policies apply to all prospective, current, and former Travel Advisors doing business with Famvia Travel, Inc. ("Famvia Travel", "Famvia", or "Agency"). By signing the Travel Advisor Agreement, you acknowledge that you have reviewed these policies and agree to be bound by them. You also agree to periodically review these policies for updates, as they may change from time to time.

1. DEFINITIONS

Advisor: The independent contractor listed in the Travel Advisor Agreement.

Gross Commission: The amount actually received by the Agency from a Travel Supplier.

Guest Bookings: A trip booked through one of Agency's approved Travel Suppliers. A Guest Booking refers to the confirmed trip which has a deposit applied and may also be paid in full. A Travel Booking becomes "Complete" the day after travel ends.

Guest: Also referred to as a customer or family. Guests make Travel Bookings.

Net Commission: The Gross Commission amount less a) Travel Rewards and b) any Travel Supplier fees, clawbacks and/or deductions.

Services: The Famvia Travel Advisor Dashboard, Famvia.com Website, Famvia.com Email, Famvia.com Slack Channel, SORS Travel Management System.

SORS: The proprietary travel management system created by Famvia. SORS is where Travel Advisors manage quotes, send proposals, create trips, manage trip alerts, add Gross Commissions, grant Travel Rewards and more.

Travel Rewards: An essential component of the Famvia Travel experience. The amount of Travel Rewards earned is calculated based on the Rewards Pass and the trip cost. Travel Rewards should always be included on every Proposal.

  • Creating proposals for quotes
  • Reviewing acceptance of proposals and creating trips
  • Including total amounts due, gross commission, and travel rewards
  • Managing all guest communications

3.2. Compliance Impact. Failure to use SORS properly may result in:

  • Delayed Net Commission payments
  • Additional fees
  • Missing Travel Rewards for Guests

4. COMMISSION POLICIES

Famvia has created a robust infrastructure to reward Advisors quickly and efficiently with some of the highest net commissions and most unique incentives in the industry!

4.1. Background and Examples.

Agency uses a tiered system to determine an Advisor’s Net Commission Percentage (“NCP”). Advisor Tiers are based on the volume of ALL Completed Travel Bookings (both Guest and Personal) on an annual basis which means the 12 month period of January 1 - December 31.

Advisor Tiers are updated daily to ensure that Advisors receive the maximum commission possible. Once an Advisor is placed in a new tier, future completed travel bookings will be credited at the new Net Commission Percentage. Note: this means that if you recently booked a trip for a Guest, but another Guest just reached out to book a trip and it brought your total bookings to $50,001 then you will earn at the new Advisor Tier percentage on both trips which have been booked!

Annual Travel Bookings reset at midnight on December 31 each year; however, the status you earned the year prior will carry over into the next year. Here are 2 examples:

  • Sally’s annual travel bookings hit $50,001 on December 22, 2025. She was moved to Gold status for the remainder of 2025 and then started 2026 as a Gold advisor. She then reached $50,001 in travel bookings for 2026 on May 15, 2026. She then earned Gold status again for 2027.

4.2. Advisor Tiers. Commission rates are determined by annual completed travel booking volume:

  • Travel Advisor
    • Annual Bookings: $0 - $1,000
    • Guest Booking Commission: 70% Net
    • Personal Booking Commission: 70% Gross
  • Certified Travel Advisor
    • Annual Bookings: $1,000 - $10,000
    • Guest Booking Commission: 70% Net
    • Personal Booking Commission: 70% Gross
  • Rising Star
    • Annual Bookings: $10,000 - $25,000

4.3. Tier Advancement. Advisor Tiers are updated daily based on travel bookings. Once placed in a new tier, all future completed bookings in that will be credited at the new percentage unless a new tier is earned.

4.4. Annual Reset. Annual Travel Bookings reset at midnight on December 31 each year; however, the status earned the previous year carries over to the next year.

4.5. Personal Travel. Advisor earns Gross Commissions for their personal travel, provided that Travel Supplier has confirmed the travel booking is eligible for earning commission. Generally, Travel Partners do not offer commission on discounted, special “Travel Agent” Only fares and rates given to Advisors. Advisor must check with Travel Supplier to determine whether their personal travel booking is eligible for commission or not. Advisor will only receive Gross Commission for their own personal booking with their name as the lead guest. Gross Commissions are determined according to their Advisor Tier.

Note: Advisors may not solely book travel for themselves and are expected to primarily serve guest bookings.
