VacationLab vs. Avoya Travel:
Which one is the best for Travel Agents?

Want to join a host agency?

Here at VacationLab, our mission is simple. We help travel advisors grow, succeed and enjoy what they do. We are one of the fastest growing companies in the industry, and we got here by staying transparent, offering support and giving our advisors the tools they need to shine.

Below are the three pillars that make VacationLab such an amazing place for travel agents worldwide.

Third step to become a Vacation Lab advisor

No fees, ever

We do not charge entry fees or monthly fees, and we never will. At VacationLab, you start at a 70% commission split and it only goes up from there. We pay on time, stay transparent and make sure your contracts and payments are always clear and straightforward.

Avoya Travel

The Lead Math

Here's how Avoya's Live Leads work: Avoya sends you a client who is ready to book. In exchange for that lead, the commission split on that booking flips with Avoya Travel retaining a significant portion. Some industry reviews put that split at 70% to Avoya and 30% to the advisor (exact split is not disclosed officially on their site), essentially trading commission for client acquisition.

It's a nice program without any extra costs associated, but definitely something to consider that you'll be giving up a lot of $$$ potentially.

The Fee Complexity

Avoya's cost structure has several layers to go through in this comparison with  a $495 startup fee plus a $79 license fee upfront. Monthly fees around $49 apply, though these can be waived if you earn $1,000+ in gross commissions in the prior month. Their Elite 100 program costs $399/month and requires $50,000 in departed commission in the prior 12 months to qualify.

At VacationLab, there are zero fees of any kind at any level! Your first booking and your thousandth booking cost the same to access: nothing.

Well, we will not spoil that here.

Every month, we select three special travel suppliers, and you can earn bonus commission and prizes when you sell them. For example, if you are earning 70% commission and the travel supplier of the month is Disney World, selling Disney World vacations could give you 75% or more in commission. Yes, that’s definitely a great way to boost your income!
